LA Breakers FC is proud to announce the appointment of Richard Simms as Director of Club Development

LA Breakers FC appoints Richard Simms to newly created Director of Club Development role 

Los Angeles, CA (April 22, 2020) - LA Breakers FC (LAB) is proud to announce the appointment of Richard Simms as Director of Club Development. In his new role, Richard will be responsible for LAB’s Strategic Vision, Marketing & Communications, and coordinating Programing & Pedagogy with the Technical Directors. Along with these exciting new responsibilities, Richard will remain Girls Director of Coaching, working alongside Tim Pierce, Boys Director of Coaching, and Mike Page, Club Director. Simms has 21 years of experience in club soccer (14 with LAB) and 15 years experience as a Head of Program at Harvard-Westlake School.

“I’m very grateful and excited for this opportunity,” said Richard Simms. “LAB has never been better positioned for success. My goal is to continue to help our club be something our community is proud of, to provide balanced programming with a holistic approach to player development, and to compete at the very highest levels of youth soccer.”

“LAB is fortunate to have many talented Coaches & Directors in house,” said Steve Shpilsky, President of the Board of Directors. “Richard has proven to be instrumental in shaping LAB’s strategic vision and effectively communicating initiatives to various stakeholders throughout our Club and community. The Board and Technical Directors have used Stay at Home time to identify forward thinking initiatives and actionable steps to accomplish those initiatives. Richard’s new role will be the bridge connecting vision with measurable execution.

“Richard has been a pivotal member of our club leadership team,” said Mike Page, LA Breakers Club Director. “This expanded role will allow him to further his impact on helping the club provide the best possible environment for our members.”
